Ethics Presentation-Contracts, Risk Management, and the Bottom Line

This presentation will discuss contract negotiations and how it can affect the business of professional engineering. It will include key points of concern, tips for success, and real-life examples for illustrative purposes.

Bo Wilson practices civil litigation with a focus on construction and business law. He is a qualified advisor for corporate regulations, business transactions, entity formations, and business disputes. With a passion for community service, he also maintains an active pro bono practice in the Dallas area by taking legal cases through Legal Aid of Northwest Dallas, hosting legal clinics with the Veterans Affairs, and serving as a qualified Dallas County attorney ad litem.

Prior to practicing law, Bo worked for many years as a business consultant and financial auditor. He has worked with multiple Fortune 500 companies across many different industries including oil and gas, banking and finance, and technology and communications. His broad scope of previous experience gives him a comprehensive understanding of the legal and economic risks that affect today’s corporate and commercial environments.

Ryan Starnes is a member with Milby, PLLC. He focuses his practice in the areas of representing design professionals from professional liability defense, preparation of contracts, commercial litigation, intellectual property, to corporate matters. He aggressively assists companies on all areas of business disputes, including breach of contract, collections and litigation. He advises on transactional matters ranging from entity formation, licensing agreements, business negotiations, and contract drafting.
